Boundary Waters Canoe Area
Maynard’s Signature Series™ Adam Turman

The puzzle cut is not the easiest to assemble but once complete you are staring at a beautiful Adam Turman image. I knew I had to add it to my collection. I usually buy these puzzles when I go to speed puzzling competitions, but you can Get your own Adam Turman puzzle here.

Cow Yoga
Willow Creek Press

I thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle from Willow Creek Press. I love blocks of color and I love cows. It was a perfect fit. I of course, saved the cows for last.

Chunky Rainbow
Buffalo Josie Lewis

This speed competition puzzle was so fun. I love gradients and this one delivered a nice easy flow to completion. Get your own Josie Lewis puzzle here

Rialto Bridge
Trefl

I’m partial to Venice puzzles, because I absolutely love the beauty of this city and I still remember crossing the bridge with my husband in 2016. The Trefl brand is very similar to Ravensburger. I like the feel of the pieces and it’s a nice ribbon cut.

Northern Lights
Blanc

This was one of the only Blanc brand images that was a must have for me. I was drawn to the beautiful sky which is my favorite part of any puzzle.

Lillies and Light
Enwood Games

It’s not my favorite cut, but this Lillies and Lights puzzle from Enwood Games was just breathtaking when complete. The richness of the colors makes me want to hang it on the wall (but I won’t, because then I can’t enjoy the puzzle again).

Butterflies
Springbok Vintage 1966

This vintage springbok was gifted to me. It’s missing a few pieces but that was to be expected of a very old puzzle. I was impressed with the heaviness of the pieces. And even though Springbok has very wonky edges, I enjoyed the experience.

The Presence of Gaia
Grafika Josephine wall

I am very grateful to have received this Josephine Wall puzzle from the Jigsaw Puzzle International Convention last year. It was a fun casual puzzle to do and I’m sure I will do it again.

Travel around Art!
Grafika

While this one was never fully completed, I really took away some great friendships from this puzzle experience. The Jigsaw Puzzle International Convention put together a group to complete it in a weekend, and it was a lot of fun to try. The image is one of two 2000 piece sections that my friend and I completed. And the painting on the bottom left is one of my favorites.

Tropical Yacht
Ravensburger

Of course my favorite brand Ravensburger needed to make this list. I love this whole series. The pieces are excellent and the image has detail, but not too much detail, and always has some sky for me to do! Get your own Ravensburger puzzle here

Kaleidoscope Quilt
Springbok Vintage 1987

This vintage Springbok was also gifted to me. It’s from a speed puzzling competition that took place in Ohio in the 1980’s. It has a lot of fun patterns and characters. It was also missing pieces but none the less, a piece of history I’m glad I now have.

Fabrics of MN
PuzzleTwist®

This Fabrics of MN puzzle did not disappoint. It had lots of fun patterns to get you started, and cute little details to finish it. This also happened to be the contest puzzle for the 2022 St Paul Winter Carnival, in which we took 1st place in our division. It was the perfect mix for my team. The Dreaming Tree
Clementoni

Sometimes a puzzle can just feel good and that was this fairies puzzle for me. I casually worked on it for a week and the pieces just clicked into place. It looks dark and difficult, but I found it soothing and relaxing. Get your own Clementoni Dreaming Tree puzzle here

Climber’s Delight
Ravensburger

This Ravensburger puzzle is my new go-to warm up puzzle. I’ve done it at least 12 times in the last year. I love seeing my speed puzzling time getting better each time I complete it. (I’m down to 22 minutes and 22 seconds). And there is lots of sky! Get your own Climbers Delight puzzle here

Artistic Mickey
Ravensburger

And lastly, the largest puzzle I’ve ever completed, the 5000 piece Disney Artistic Mickey puzzle from Ravensburger. The image is clear and the pieces feel great.
We had a family contest to see who could correctly estimate how long it would take me to complete it by myself. My nine year was the closest with a little over 50 hours. I didn’t go fast, but I casually puzzled for 46 hours, (4 and half hours just sorting out all the pieces). More pictures and details to follow in a future post. However, Get your own 5000 piece puzzle here
